So you're moving to Corona...

There’s city living, there’s country living, and then there’s something in between—that’s Corona. Nestled against the Cleveland National Forest with mountain views in nearly every direction, Corona offers a suburban lifestyle with easy access to Orange County, Los Angeles, and the rest of the Inland Empire.

The tradeoff? You won’t find the all-night city buzz here. Instead, Corona is more about family dinners, weekend hikes, and community events. If your ideal night out is hopping from bar to bar until 2 a.m., this might not be your scene. But if you want a strong sense of community, a safe place to raise a family, and a lifestyle that balances convenience with comfort—Corona could be exactly what you’re looking for.

SOCAL’S BEST-KEPT SECRET

Corona has grown quickly, but it still feels like a close-knit community. Families gather at sports fields and playgrounds, hikers hit Skyline Trail, and locals support mom-and-pop restaurants and businesses. It’s big enough to have everything you need, yet small enough to feel connected.

IT'S SAFE HERE

Corona is known for its family-friendly neighborhoods, especially in South Corona, Eagle Glen, and Sierra Del Oro. It’s the kind of place where you’ll see kids riding bikes, parents out on evening walks, and neighbors who wave when you drive by.

THE OTHER STUFF THAT MATTERS

Life in Corona is all about convenience.

  • Shopping: Costco, Target, Trader Joe’s, Sprouts, and local boutiques.

  • Dining: In-N-Out, Miguel’s Jr., TAPS Fish House & Brewery, and plenty of family-owned favorites.

  • Wellness: Gyms, yoga studios, and even Glen Ivy Hot Springs if you need a spa day.

Most errands take 10 minutes or less—you won’t spend all weekend running around town.

LET’S TALK WEATHER

Corona enjoys sunshine nearly year-round.

  • Summer: Hot and dry, often in the 90s–100s, but evenings cool down.

  • Winter: Mild—60s and 70s, with no snow to shovel.

  • Rain: Rare, but welcome when it happens. Locals joke that we forget how to drive when it rains because it’s so uncommon.

👉 All in all, the weather invites outdoor living—hiking, barbecues, and family fun all year long.

YOUR MORNING COMMUTE

Corona traffic falls into two categories: local and commuter.

  • Local traffic: Inside the city, it’s smooth sailing. Side streets stay clear, and errands are quick.

  • Commuting: Corona is uniquely positioned at the crossroads of Southern California’s freeways. The 15, 91, and 71 freeways all run through or alongside the city, with the Foothill Expressway and 241 Toll Road nearby for alternate routes into Orange County. Yes, the 91 can be tough, but with express lanes, Metrolink stations, and multiple routes, residents have options to make the commute manageable.

Insider Tip: Locals know a few tricks. If you’re heading west in the morning, the Green River exit gives quick access to the 91 and Metrolink. The Foothill Expressway is a lifesaver for avoiding surface street congestion, and the 241 Toll Road offers a faster (though tolled) option into Orange County. Having several routes makes a big difference when traffic gets heavy.

SCHOOLS

Corona belongs to the Corona-Norco Unified School District (CNUSD), one of the largest in California.

  • Award-winning schools across multiple neighborhoods.

  • Strong parental involvement and active communities.

  • A mix of public, charter, and private schools.

Not all schools are the same, so matching your goals with the right neighborhood is key.

FINDING YOUR NEW HOME: THE FUN PART!

Corona has a neighborhood for everyone:

  • Eagle Glen & Dos Lagos: Upscale golf course living.

  • Sierra Del Oro: Perfect for OC commuters, right at the 91.

  • South Corona: Newer homes, spacious layouts, top-rated schools.

  • Historic Downtown: Older homes with unique character.

Whether you want a master-planned community, a family-friendly neighborhood, or space with a view—you’ll find it here.
